Aasim Hussain elected Senator unopposed
KARACHI: Dr. Aasim Hussain, the joint candidate of PPP and coalition parties has been elected unopposed on the vacant seat of Senate, Geo News reported Saturday.Provincial Election Commissioner and Presiding Officer Sohnu Khan Baloch announced the results of election here at his office.
Dr. Aasim Hussain had submitted nomination papers in presence of PPP, MQM, PML-F’s members and ministers in provincial election commission office early this month.
No other person submitted nomination papers against Dr. Aasim Hussain till April 15, the last date of papers’ submission.
PEC Sohu Khan Baloch issued notification, announcing election of Dr. Aasim Hussain unopposed as Senator.
