Return of SWA people to begin from April 30
TANK: Grand jirga of Pakistan Army and tribal elders have decided the return of South Waziristan people from Tank would start from April 30.Brigadier Shahid Mehmood while talking to the grand jirga at Political Compound here appreciated the role of South Waziristan people in government's efforts against militancy and said the safe and dignified return of Mehsud people was Pak Army's top priority.
He said that damaged infrastructure of education and health has been revived by the army in affected areas while a medical team of Pak Army was also present in the area to provided medical cover to the returning Mehsuds.
Brig. Shahid said Mehsuds have proved their patriotism by working with Pak Army and Political Administration side by side and we keep their sacrifices in high esteem.
Assistant political agent Laddha Jamal Azmat in chat with tribal elders informed that returning people would be provided ration for six months, tents and other basic items free of cost.
Tribal elders including Malik Farid Ullah Ashangi, Malik Dilbar Khan Mehsud and others thanked Pak Army and Political Administration for making appropriate arrangements for their dignified return to native areas and assured complete cooperation to them in their struggle to establish complete peace in the Agency.
