KARACHI: At least 22 Indian fishermen with 7 boats were arrested by the Maritime Security Agency (MSA) on night between Friday and Saturday for violating the Pakistani territorial waters.
A spokesman of the MSA told APP on Saturday that the fishermen had been handed over to the Docks Police after initial investigation. “The fishermen are warned by the MSA before seizing their boats for penetrating deep inside our territory,” he pointed out. Violation of seven to eight nautical miles remains tolerable and they are warned to return back, but 50 to 60 nautical miles is gross violation of territory and only then their boats are seized with fishermen, he maintained. app
