PM presiding over cabinet meeting
ISLAMABAD: A special meeting of the federal cabinet with Prime Minister, Yusuf Raza Gilani in the chair is underway here.Senior lawyer Babar Awan is also attending this cabinet meeting being held in the Prime Minister House. It is learnt that Awan is briefing the members of the cabinet about the amendments in the presidential reference relating to the judicial murder of the former Prime Minister, Zulfiquar Ali Bhutto.
It may recalled that the Supreme Court in respect of this presidential reference had given some directives based on which amendments have been made in this reference in the back drop of point of law.
Earlier also the federal cabinet’s approval was taken on the original reference filed in SC relating to the Bhutto’s execution
