PTI’s sit-in against US drone attacks continues
PESHAWAR: Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf alongwith his party workers and supporters gathered at the Peshawar ring road Saturday evening and staged sit-in, aiming to block the route used by Nato supply trucks, against US drone strikes in tribal areas, Geo News reported.The sit-in continued on Sunday morning. Imran Khan and other protesters spent the night on road.
"They (the US) are losing the war -- they can never win it," Khan told a gathering in the northwestern town of Akora Khattak on his way to the protest site in the Bagh-e-Naran neighbourhood.
The sit-in started on Saturday evening and will end on Sunday evening.
The people from FATA, Punjab and other areas are participating in the sit-in.
