PM vows action against ISI upon evidence
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, reacting over Chaudhry Nisar’s speech at the floor of the house, has explained that the government fully respects the reservations voiced by opposition leader against ISI, vowing to take action on condition of concrete evidences, Geo News reported.
“Opposition leader in National Assembly (NA) Chaudhry Nisar should produce solid evidences against DG ISI if he wants reply from government, ” PM clarified.
“Not just ISI chief Director General Ahmed Shujaa Pasha visited US but Secretary Defence also paid a visit to US,” PM claimed.
The premier revealed that Foreign Secretary would visit US soon, describing that these visits were part of process of restoration of Pak-US ties.
There is no harm in forming a new alliance at federal level; Gilani said, adding that sponsored sit-in should not threaten anyone.
