Moonis Elahi’s bail plea dismissed
LAHORE: The Lahore Banking Court (LBC) dismissed, on Monday, the bail petition of the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid’s (PML-Q) Moonis Elahi involved in the National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) scandal, a private TV channel reported. Moonis Elahi’s counsel, Amjad Pervaiz, during the hearing at LBC, pleaded the honourable court for bail of his client, arguing that FIR lodged against his client was baseless. He argued that the case against Moonis was filed by former Federal Investigation Agency additional director general, Zafar Qureshi, who was punished by being made Officer on Special Duty (OSD) during the tenure of Chaudhry Pervaiz Ilahi, father of Moonis Elahi. daily times monitor
