PML-N office attacked in Karachi

KARACHI: Scores of activists from various nationalist parties on Monday attacked the regional office of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) over the statement of Punjab chief minister on formation of a new province in Sindh.
Dozens of activists from nationalist parties thronged the regional office of PML-N known as the Muslim League House at Karsaz and destroyed its furniture.
On being informed, heavy contingents of police rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area. An FIR (81/11) has also been registered against unknown miscreants on the complaint of Ghulam Mustafa, PML-N secretary Saleem Zia under sections 147, 148, 149, 527 and 452 of Pakistan Penal Code. Subsequently, another hostile attack was witnessed at the restaurant of PML-N leader Sardar Rahim within the remits of Clifton town police. The emotionally charged activists gathered at the restaurant and smashed its furniture altogether.
Sources informed that police have detained around 10 miscreants allegedly involved in the incidents.
SP Clifton Tariq Dharejo, when contacted, confirmed four arrests and said two separate cases will be registered against miscreants on behalf of party members as well as of police.
