Any criminal belonging to any party to be dealt sternly: Qaim
* Sindh CM says police, rangers and other agencies have launched joint efforts against criminals, culprits and terrorists in metropolis

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, issuing his instructions, has made clear that any criminal belonging to any party or group will be dealt sternly.
An eight-member delegation of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), led by Muhammad Hussain Mehnati, called on the chief minister at his office here on Wednesday. Action will be taken against criminals without any favour or discrimination, the chief minister said. The JI delegation discussed matters of mutual interest and specifically the law and order situation prevailing in Karachi. Shah said that police, Rangers and other agencies have launched joint efforts against criminals, culprits and terrorists in the metropolis.
Meanwhile, the chief minister (CM) visited new premises of the Consulate General of the United States, situated at Mai Kolachi Road. Consulate General (CG) William Martin received the Sindh chief minister upon his arrival.
The CM pointed out that people were facing hardships in issuance of US visa. The CG assured that the matter would be considered and necessary decisions would be taken. Furthermore, United Kingdom’s Deputy High Commissioner Francis Campbell called on Sindh chief minister at his office. The CM welcomed the Deputy High Commissioner and discussed matters of mutual interest.
Shah said that the relationship between the UK and Pakistan was years long, adding that it should be strengthened in the larger interest of both countries. Principle Secretary to CM Alamuddin Bullo was also present on the occasion.
