‘PPP’s alliance with PML-Q to strengthen democracy’

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Interior, Rehman Malik, said on Thursday that the PPP leadership had always preferred to strengthen democracy in the country and efforts for forging alliance with the PML-Q recently were the steps in the same direction.
Talking to reporters outside the Parliament House, he said PPP’s leadership believed in dialogue and reconciliation and its manifestation was that political parties belonging to various shades and colours were part of the incumbent government. Replying to a question, he said that leadership of both PPP and PML-Q would make final decision on making alliance.
To another question, he said militants were targeting Sindh and Balochistan to destabilise the country and also bring bad name to it.
