Petrol, CNG price hike challenged in LHC

LAHORE: The latest hike in petroleum prices has been challenged in the Lahore High Court (LHC), Geo News reported.

The petitioners have argued that the increase in fuel prices would push the inflation to new heights, creating a crisis in the country.

Azhar Siddique Advocate filed petitions against the hike in petroleum products while the CNG Association raised voice against the raise in CNG price.

He prayed before the court that a writ has already been filed with the LHC regarding the mechanism to fix the prices of petroleum products and the increase is illegal as the case is yet to be decided by the court.
