Yemen to provide OBL widow, children diplomatic documents

PESHAWAR: The widow and children of Osama bin Laden (OBL) who are from Yemen will be provided diplomatic documents by the Yemeni government.

Speaking to Geo News, the lawyer for Osama’s family, Advocate Atif Ali said that the Embassy of Yemen had started preparing diplomatic documents for one of OBL’s widow and five children.

Adovcate Atif Ali also spoke of the status of other family members of the Al-Qaeda chief and said that two of OBL’s wives, two daughters and four granddaughters were still waiting for an answer from the Saudi Embassy.

Advocate Ali adds that a letter has also been sent to the Interior Ministry after which the family of OBL will be repatriated.

A senior civil judge on Monday had indicted Osama bin Laden's three widows and two of his daughters to a month and a half in prison for having resided illegally, ordering the government to arrange their repatriation as soon as possible
