RPP owners placed on Exit Control List
ISLAMABAD: Fourteen owners and Chief Executives of Rental Power Plants (RPPs) have been placed on the Exit Control List (ECL) as RPPs had been declared illegal by the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
According to officials from the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), the Interior Ministry has placed the owners and chief executives on the ECL on their advice.
NAB has also issued notices to four RPPs, ordering them to return the advance payment they recieved along with interest within three days.
Prior to this, the names of former ministers including Raja Pervez Ashraf and other officials were also placed on ECL, on the directives of the Supreme Court.
