PML-N wins women reserved seats in National and Punjab Assembly


LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-N candidates have been elected on three reserved seats in the National and Punjab Assemblies, while the papers for two female candidates’ were rejected, according to unofficial results.

PML-N’s Begum Seema Mohiuddin and Shaheen Shafique won seats reserved in the National Assembly, while Shumaila Rana won the seat reserved in the Punjab Assembly. Both the seats of National Assembly were vacated by PML-N’s Maimoona Hashmi and Nuzhat Aamir.

Shumaila Rana who won the Punjab Assembly seat had earlier resigned from this very seat over allegation of being involved in credit card theft. CCTV video of purchases made on a stolen credit card was telecast on Geo News.
