RPPs’ owners, CEOs placed on ECLStaff Report
ISLAMABAD: Following the directions of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Tuesday put the chief executive officers (CEOs) of Rental Power Plants (RPPs) and owners of the power companies concerned on Exit Control List (ECL).
A statement issued by NAB names those placed on ECL, including Techno-E-Power CEO Muhammad Anwar Khan, Young Gen CEO Muhammad Rafiq Butt, Karkey CEO Muhammad Jamil Arain, Gulf Rental CEO Ghulam Mustafa Tunio, Walter Power CEO Tariq Nazir, Alstome Power Rental CEO Ghulzar Muhammad, Techno E Power CE Abid Ali, Young Gen CE Habibullah Khan, Pakistan Power Principal Officer Iqbal Z Ahmad, Karkey Chairman Orhan Remzi Karadeniz, Gulf Rental CEO Haseeb Ahmad Khan, Reshma Power CEO Shah Faisal, Walters Power Principal Officer Muhammad Nasarullah Baig and General Electric Power Country Manager Naeem Shafique.
Notices under the National Accountability Ordinance (NAO) have been issued to four companies, asking them to refund money along with mark-up. The companies, which have been ordered to return money in three days, are Techno E Power, Walters Power Naudero-I, Karkey Rental Power and Gulf Power Project.
