India has not provided concrete evidence against Hafiz Saeed: FO

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has rejected claims made by Indian Foreign Minister S.M. Krishna regarding evidence against Hafiz Saeed.

Foreign Office spokesman, Abdul Basit said on Friday that concrete evidence against Hafiz Saeed had not been provided. Basit reiterated that action against Saeed would only be taken if there was concrete evidence against him.

“Overheard statements do not constitute as concrete evidence,” Basit said.

S.M. Krishna claimed that Pakistan had been provided all evidence against Hafiz Saeed and called on Islamabad to initiate legal proceedings against him.

The US has also announced a $10 million reward for evidence leading to arrest of Saeed.
