Rehman Malik’s aircraft makes emergency landingISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rehman Malik and some other officials had a narrow escape on Thursday when their aircraft made an emergency landing in Dera Allahyar, according to media reports. A special aircraft carrying Rehman Malik and other government officials made an emergency landing shortly after taking off. The aircraft had developed technical problems, a TV news channel quoted officials as saying. All passengers on board the aircraft, including Malik, remained safe. The pilot informed the control tower of technical problems and then made the emergency landing, they said. The exact nature of the technical problems could not be immediately ascertained. online
