Shahbaz strikes back with equal force at Zardari
ARIFWALA: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shahbaz Sharif roared back at President Asif Zardari and said, “Had Benazir Bhutto visited Lahore, I would have received her a hundred times. But I will resign a hundred times, instead of receiving Zardari.”
Addressing a rally on Saturday, Shahbaz said Zardari had left the masses high and dry during floods last year and went to France.
"I swear that Zardari has plundered the national exchequer and kept it in the Swiss banks," he added.
He criticised the president and said he would not receive the president.
"I will quit politics a hundred times, but will not welcome [President] Zardari," said an angry Shahbaz referring to the reason of the president lambasting his party for the past three days during his Lahore visit.
To the president’s statement in which he had termed the Sharifs “immigrants”, the CM said [President] Zardari was not aware of the very essence of the word. online
