Foreign Office spokesman Abdul Basit at weekly briefing said Pakistan wants normal relations with the US but their new dimension would be set by the Parliament.
Answering a question‚ the spokesman said there is "no Saudi pressure" on Pakistan on the gas pipeline project with Iran.
To another question‚ Basit stressed that nuclear deterrence was "integral to our security calculus. Pakistan would continue to maintain credible deterrence at the minimum possible level."
He said Pakistan has received an invitation to attend Summit on Afghanistan next month in Chicago and no decision has yet been made whether to attend it or not.
On expansion in US embassy premises in Islamabad, spokesman said: "We are in touch with all the relevant departments."
