SC takes up Gilani’s contempt case today
ISLAMABAD: A larger bench of the Supreme Court will resume hearing of the contempt of court case against Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani today (Thursday). A seven-member bench comprising Justice Nasirul Mulk, Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa, Justice Sarmad Jalal Osmani, Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan, Justice Ejaz Ahmed Chaudhry, Justice Gulzar Ahmed and Justice Athar Saeed will resume hearing of arguments of Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan, the counsel for the prime minister. Aitzaz will address the issues of Article 10A – regarding right to due process and fair trial – and the objections he raised over competency of the bench to hear the case. He indicated in the last hearing that he wanted to address the issue adequately. inp
