Record requested by Haqqani no longer available: RIM
ONTARIO, CANADA: Research In Motion (RIM) the company which makes the Blackberry smart-phone has responded former ambassador Husain Haqqani’s request.
In its response to Haqqani, RIM states that the record for the time period requested by Haqqani is no longer in the possession of the company. “The time periods are beyond the data retention period for the services offered by RIM.”
Husain Haqqani had written a letter to the BlackBerry company Research In Motion for receiving his phone data for the time period of May till October 2011. This is the time period when Haqqani allegedly exchanged messages with US businessman Mansoor Ijaz regarding the memo.
The data had been requested by the judicial commission probing the memo scanda
