Punjab govt’s procurement of laptops transparent: TI

LAHORE: Transparency International (TI) on Wednesday declared that Punjab government had made procurement of laptops according to rules and regulations and the news regarding irregularities in the deal were not correct.

Transparency International Adviser Adil Gilani, in his letter written to the Punjab government, appreciated the detailed response of the provincial government regarding the procedure adopted for procurement of laptops.

He said that Punjab government had observed PEPRA and all other rules and regulations in purchasing laptops. Transparency International termed the step of the Punjab government to provide all information and details in time praiseworthy.

“It may be mentioned that Punjab government had timely provided all documents, procedure of purchase and all other details regarding the purchase of laptops to Transparency International,” the adviser said. pr
