Explosion at Lahore Railway Station: Live Updates
LAHORE: Two people have been killed and at least 27 others injured in a powerful blast that ripped through the busy Lahore Railway Station on Tuesday, confirmed the Capital City Police Officer.
However, the Rescue 1122 sources put the number of injured at 35.
The blast occurred outside the business train's counter at platform No-2 where people queue up in large numbers to buy their tickets.

19:07 Police cordoned off the blast site where teams of emergency services also kick started the rescue work. The dead and injured were brought to Meo Hospital where emergency has been declared.
19:20 TV images showed that broken glass of windows and doors of railway staff's offices at platform No-2 littered across the floor. A false ceiling of an office also collapsed.
19:30 Railway Police official among the three killed, police said.
19:33 Eighteen injured taken to Meo Hospital and 5 to Ganga Ram Hospital.
19:35 The blast took place at the counter of the business train, police said.
19:37 Capital City Police Officer, Aslam Tarin termed it a terrorist act in which six to eight kilograms of explosives appeared to have been used.
He put the number of dead at 2 and injured in the tragic incident at 27.
The blast left a 5-6 ft crater on the floor, he said.
Awami National Party's (ANP) Shahi Sayed and Bashir were also present.
