Previous government will be punished on May 11: Sherpao
PESHAWAR: Qaumi Watan Party chairman Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao on Sunday said the people would hold the previous government accountable in the May 11 general elections as it did nothing to mitigate their sufferings. “Our party’s manifesto envisages the restoration of sustainable peace and viable solution to the problems of the commoners,” he said while talking to a delegation of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Malakand Agency chapter at the party’s Central Secretariat in Hayatabad here. PML-N Member Provincial Council Ibrar Khan and other office-bearers, including Main Alam Shah, Abid Khan, Guldad and others announced joining the QWP along with their supporters. The new entrants to the party reposed confidence in the leadership of Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao and praised him for raising voice for the rights of the disadvantaged segments of the society. QWP provincial chairman Sikandar Hayat Sherpao and QWP Saudi Arabia chapter’s president Muhib Gul Shalmani were also present. Aftab Sherpao said “the champions of the rights of the Pakhtuns had failed to secure their rights and restore peace on Pakhtun soil despite remaining in power for five years.” staff report
