7.1 million voters registered in Karachi: Election CommissionKARACHI: The Election Commission of Pakistan has approved the new Karachi voter lists which were put together upon the completion of door to door verification in the metropolis. The number of voters as result of the door to door verification process has increased by 300,000.
The electoral roll in Karachi prior to door to door verification was 6.8 million and is now recorded to be 7.1 million. Out of the 7.1 million voters in Karachi, 4.08 million are male and 3.02 million are female.
After approval from the Election Commission of Pakistan printing of the new voter lists in Karachi has begun.
