Govt orders to beef up security of ECP offices, political leaders
ISLAMABAD: The Interior Ministry has decided to tighten security of Election Commission offices and political leaders.
A high-level meeting chaired by Interior Minister Malik Muhammad Habib here on Monday reviewed law and order and security-related issues with special reference to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
During the meeting, the caretaker interior minister directed the concerned authorities to ensure the security of ANP leaders among other political leaders contesting candidates.
Habib Muhammad Malik also directed the concerned authorities to beef up security of Election Commission offices.
The interior minister said that police, rangers and FC should keep their focus on providing security to the political leaders.
