80 percent party tickets allotted to new candidates: Imran
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan said Monday that his party had changed the culture of “musical chairs”.
Speaking during a news conference in Islamabad, Khan said that 80 percent of PTI candidates had not been members of assemblies and 35 percent of party tickets were allotted to individuals under the age of 40.
Khan added that the same old faces could not bring change and tickets for reserved women seats would not be allotted to candidates who are relatives of party leaders.
According to the PTI chairman no institution had been fixed during the last 25 years and the PPP and PML-N remained allies in Balochistan till the last moment.
