Imran Khan vows to abolish MNA, MPA funds if elected
ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan Monday expressed the resolve to put an end to the funds issued to MNAs and MPAs if his party is elected to power in the upcoming polls.
Speaking to senior anchor Hamid Mir in Geo News program ‘Capital Talk’, Imran Khan said the old faces cannot be expected to bring about a change in the country.
He said 80 percent candidates of PTI have a clean slate, as they had never been elected as assembly members. Thirty-five percent tickets were allotted to candidates below 30 years of age, he added.
Imran Khan also pledged to conduct local bodies elections within 90 days of coming into power. Corruption and loadshedding will also be eliminated, he added.
