CEC orders foolproof security for politicians
ISLAMABAD: Chief Election Commissioner Fakhruddin G. Ebrahim has ordered foolproof security for the candidates of all the political parties, Geo News reported.
“The Election Commission has taken notice of widespread media reports that quote senior leadership of ANP wherein grievance is made that ECP has caused the withdrawal of security from ANP leadership in Khyber Pukhtunkhwa,” said a statement issued by the electoral body.
It said: “In fact, the CEC and the Members of the Election Commission fully support the demand from all political parties that necessary security be provided to all candidates by the Federal and Provincial Caretaker Governments”
