Hostile lawyers torture Musharraf’s cohorts; one critical
ISLAMABAD: A group of hostile lawyers tortured a couple of All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) workers outside Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) here on Saturday, Geo News reported.
According to details, lawyers started chanting slogans against General (Retd) Pervez Musharraf as soon as he came out of the court after the hearing. Upon this Musharraf’s cohorts also resorted to shouting slogans in support of former president. As things heated up both the anti and pro Musharraf supporters engaged in personal attacks, which worsened into brutal scuffles.
However, situation went completely out of hands after Musharraf and his massive security contingent set out for the police headquarters. Taking advantage of this gap the anti-Musharraf lawyers, who were large in number, singled out two of ex-president’s supporters and beat the hell out of them.
A spokesman for All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) said that at least three of their workers were seriously injured in the attack outside ATC.
The injured had been shifted to PIMS where one of them was reported to be critical.
