No personal attack on Zardari, just questioned 5-yr performance: Nawaz
TANDO ALLAH YAR: Saying that he had just raised a question on the performance of Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) 5-year government, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader, Mian Nawaz Sharif, Monday denied attacking President Asif Ali Zardari’s person in any way, Geo News reported.
“Mine was a simple question. I just asked him what good did PPP do to the people of Pakistan in the last 5 years. Has Sindh become a peace haven? What about the jobless rate in the province? Has it come down to zero? Absolutely not”, said he addressing a mammoth election rally here.
They have not kept any of the promises they made five years back, he added.
He said people should not forget that PML-N sacrificed its government just to save Sindh from plunging into anarchy in the wake of Hamdard Foundation founder, Hakim Saeed’s, murder.
Going forward he said that PML-N was ready for sacrifice everything for the sake of Pakistan.
He added that it was his government, which brought an end to dacoit-rule in rural Sindh back in the day, which was not an easy task.
