PML-N calls Imran’s challenge ‘childish approach’
ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has termed the challenge of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan to its president, Nawaz Sharif, to hold a debate a “childish approach”. Imran Khan has been coming down hard on the PML-N’s top leadership and on Tuesday threw the gauntlet to Nawaz by asking him to engage with him in a debate on TV channels. “It is a tactic of Imran Khan to gain cheap popularity and to draw attention,” Central Information Secretary of PML-N Senator Mushahidullah Khan stated in response to Imran’s challenge. He recalled that Imran had in the past claimed that he would contest election from the constituency from where Nawaz filed his nomination papers; however, he put aside his previous challenge and is now asking for a TV debate. staff report
