Khoso issues directives for a pro-masses budget for next fiscal
ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Prime Minister Justice (Retd) Mir Hazar Khan Khoso on Thursday directed the ministry of finance to exercise extreme care in the preparation of budget for the next fiscal year with focus on limiting its size.
Conveying important guidelines to the Ministry of Finance in preparation of the next budget, he instructed it to avoid oversized budget to root out extravagance and wasteful expenditures.
The Prime Minister directed that the welfare of masses should be given priority and the general public should not be subjected to undue burden.
He also emphasized the need to curtail expenditure and exercise austerity to ensure judicious utilization of public money.
