NADRA ready for e-voting, ECP adamant overseas Pakistanis can’t vote
ISLAMABAD: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) authorities say they are ready to conduct e-voting for the upcoming polls, Geo News reported.
NADRA sources add that software for the purpose will be tested on May 2 and permission has been taken from Australia, Bahrain, Canada, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia and Britain.
Meanwhile the Election Commission of Pakistan maintains that overseas Pakistanis will not be able to vote in the upcoming general elections, citing need for legislation before the facility may be offered.
