Provinces responsible for ensuring law and order: ECP
ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has expressed grave concern over the attacks on election offices and candidates.
The ECP in a statement said the terrorist attacks in Karachi, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were a cause of concern. The commission further said that the provincial governments were responsible for ensuring and maintaining law and order.
The ECP added that candidates should be provided an atmosphere in which they can conduct their campaigns without any fear.
