NAB chief appointment: SC summons Irfan Qadir, Asma Jahangir
ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) has issued notices to Attorney General Irfan Qadir and Asma Jahangir to appear in next hearing pertaining to the petition against the appointment of Fasih Bokhari as National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chief, Geo News reported Monday.
The five-member larger bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry heard the petition against the appointment of Fasih Bokhari as NAB chief today.
PML-N senior leader Chaudhry Nisar had challenged Bokhari’s appointment.
The court ordered Asma Jahangir and AG Irfan Qadir to appear in the next hearing and adjourned the hearing till tomorrow (Tuesday).
