Nawaz claims youth support to PML-N
MURREE: The youth of Pakistan is standing by the Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz, which will bring real revolution in the country, said President PML-N Nawaz Sharif on Sunday.
Addressing a public meeting at Mall Road in Murree, Nawaz said he had nothing to praise for PPP as it failed to serve the nation.
In a veiled criticism to PTI, PML-N chief said he had played cricket but also made the country a nuclear power.
He said PPP was running election campaign on media because it could not face the nation.
Former prime minister said he had built Islamabad-Murree Motorway and other development projects in Murree and its adjoining areas.
Nawaz vowed to build railway link between Rawalpindi to Murree and Muzafarabad, promised to establish medical, engineering and agriculture universities on international standard and state of the art hospital in Murree.
PML-N president said that his party had conducted nuclear tests and enabled the nation to confront an enemy bravely.
He said PML-N spread the net of motorways and constructed a coastal highway, Gwadar port and introduced scores of developmental schemes.
Nawaz Sharif said he was determined to lead the country on the path of honour and dignity. He highlighted various achievements of his previous two tenures as a prime minister and said if PML-N had been allowed to complete its tenure Pakistan would be on a path of progress.
The PML-N president said he made the country an atomic power but unwise policies pushed the country toward myriad of problems.
”Loadshedding across the country has made lives of people miserable and also damaged industrial and manufacturing sectors,” he regretted.
Nawaz said energy crisis had also created unprecedented unemployment, lawlessness and poverty in the country, adding that the country was facing one of the lowest economic growths which had further aggravated problems of the masses.
He said, “The PML-N has always rendered commendable services to improve socio-economic conditions and it has taken all decisions strictly on merit.”
He said the PML-N would also strive hard for well-being of the masses instead of any personal gains after coming to power as it wanted to see Pakistan one of the most vibrant countries moving towards progress and prosperity. PML-N candidate from NA-50, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and others also addressed the gathering. online
