ECP asks teachers to perform poll duties without fearISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has asked the Balochistan teachers to perform election duties without any fear.
According to an official, the caretaker provincial administration has been directed to provide foolproof security to teachers and other polling staff.
He said that beside police and other security agencies, Pakistan Army troops would also be deployed, if necessary, to maintain peace on the polling day.
It is relevant to mention that the Government Teachers’ Association of Balochistan had announced that teachers would not perform election duties because of security concerns in several parts of the province. app
