'Arrow', 'Bat', 'Bicycle' will disperse on May 11: Shahbaz
LAHORE: Former Chief Minister (CM) of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif on Tuesday said that Arrow (electoral symbol of PPP), Bat (electoral symbol of PTI) and Bicycle (electoral symbol of PML-Q) would disperse on May 11, Geo News reported.
Talking to media men here in Lahore, Shahbaz Sharif said that it's the duty of caretaker government to provide protection to the politicians facing security threats.
He claimed that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid e Azam (PML-Q) have joined hands behind the scene.
Criticizing PTI Chief Imran Khan, Shahbaz said that Khan had claimed to contest polls from Nawaz Sharif's constituency but he sneaked away at the eleventh hour.
He further said that Imran Khan has provided clean chit to Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) over corruption and load-shedding, adding that 700 megawatts of electricity is being transferred daily from Punjab.
Shahbaz accused Khan of declaring President Zardari innocent over the rental power corruption of billions of rupees and federal governments' worse behavior towards Punjab.
He appealed to the nation for not letting their votes divided in the forthcoming general elections.
Responding to a question related to Senator Rehman Malik, ex-CM humorously said that Rehman Malik is the Inspector General (IG) of liars, who told a lie in Supreme Court (SC) pertaining to his dual nationality.
