Nisar’s meeting with Taliban, government committees postponedISLAMABAD: The meeting between the Taliban and government committees with Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has been postponed. The meeting was scheduled to take place today (Friday).
Taliban committee member, Maulana Yousaf Shah told reporters the meeting with Chaudhry Nisar will now take place on Saturday.
Earlier the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) announced an extension in the ceasefire which expired on March 31. According to TTP spokesman, the ceasefire had been extended till April 10.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif also chaired a high-level meeting of the country’s civil and military leadership. The meeting discussed the dialogue process with the Taliban and matters related to national security.
