Protest in Sindh Assembly over prolonged load shedding
KARACHI: The members of Sindh Assembly staged a protest during today’s session over the prolonged outages in the province, Geo News reported.
The session began under the chairmanship of Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani where the MPAs belonging to Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) started shouting at the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) members on the issue of load shedding.
Ghulam Qadir Chandio of PPP questioned if power theft is done in Sindh only and alleged that life has been made hell by excessive power cuts.
PPP’s Nisar Khoro said that it is not right to call the people ‘thief’ instead of realizing their own mistakes.
PML-N MPA Irfanullah Marwat also agreed with Nisar Khoro and grabbed the Opposition Leader’s seat before the contest.
It may be mentioned here that it was the first Sindh Aassembly session after Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) joined the government.
