Major (retd) Amir separates from dialogue process
ISLAMABAD: Member government committee Major (retd) Amir has separated himself from the dialogue.
Major (retd) Amir was part of the four member committee nominated by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to initiate the dialogue process with the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
Major (retd) Amir said he would be informing Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan soon about the reasons which led to his parting ways from the committee. He added that some members tasked with carrying out the dialogue process had used it for their own personal gains.
Meanwhile, Taliban committee member Maulana Yousaf Shah said efforts would be made to eliminate the grievances of Major (retd) Amir.
