Law and order situation in Karachi under control, claims Memon

KARACHI: Sindh Information Minister Sarjeel Inam Memon claimed on Wednesday that security institutions have regained control over the law and order situation in Karachi, Geo News reported.

Talking to the media men before Sindh Assembly session in Karachi today, the minister said that action by the law enforcement agencies against street crimes and other criminal activities has helped in overcoming the law and order crisis. The security forces have been able to regain control over the situation, however, terrorists are now targeting officials in Sindh.

Answering a question about load shedding and power theft, Sharjeel Memon said that the tall claims made by the governing Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) regarding abolishing load shedding have proven futile.

He also alleged that the electricity bills issued to the Sindh government also unveils incompetence of the Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA).
