Govt, army review expenses on Zarb-e-Azb military action
Senator Dar calls rehabilitation of displaced persons top priority
By: OnlineISLAMABAD – A meeting between Federal Minister for Finance and Economic Affairs Senator Ishaq Dar and officials of the Pakistan Army on Sunday discussed and reviewed the expenses on the Zarb-e-Azb military operation in different parts of the tribal areas.
During the meeting, proposals of the Pakistan Army for the budget 2016-17 were also discussed, according to a press release. Senator Dar reiterated that the government attaches top priority to national security matters including the ongoing Zarb-e-Azb.
He said that achievements made in the Zarb-e-Azb were indeed significant. “We are all grateful to Almighty Allah for the targets that have been accomplished so far in this military operation,” he said. On this occasion, he also said that rehabilitation of the displaced persons was also a priority matter for the government.
