PPP saved parliament in 2014: Khursheed Shah

KHARIAN: Opposition leader Khursheed Shah has claimed that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) saved parliament in 2014 when Nawaz Sharif had surrendered during dharnas.

While talking to journalists in Kharian, he said IG Sindh police was sent back since he did not meet “our expectations".

He said if the federation did not stop interfering in provinces, there would be fights in and outside the parliament.

The opposition leader rejected the role of Nawaz Sharif in bringing peace to Sindh, claiming that the province peace was established due to Army and provincial government.

He said the center was playing dangerous game in Sindh.

The opposition leader also said that Peoples Party wanted to strengthen democratic system.
