Abdul Basit says Indo-Pak peace talks meaningless without Kashmir issue
NEW DELHI: Abdul Basit, Pakistan's High Commissioner to India, has said that peace talks between Pakistan and India will be meaningless without the inclusion of longstanding Kashmir dispute.
This he said during his interview with an Indian news channel on Friday.
Abdul Basit said that resolution of Kashmir dispute is imperative for durable peace and stability in South Asia.
Noting that Pakistan has zero tolerance for terrorism, Basit maintained that New Delhi badly failed to isolate Pakistan on world stage.
The High Commissioner added said terrorism is a regional issue and Pakistan has taken more steps than any other country to curb this menace.
