UK police arrive to probe MQM founder’s hate speeches

ISLAMABAD: Team of United Kingdom (UK) Police has arrived in federal capital to investigate the matters pertaining to inflammatory speeches of Mutahidda Qaumi Movement (MQM) founder.

According to media reports the UK police arrived in Islamabad to record statements of eye witnesses in inflammatory speech case of founder MQM. These witnesses include six police officials.

The UK police will determine whether MQM founder’s speech of August 22, 2018 comes in the domain of inflammatory and hate speech after interviewing case witnesses today (Monday). UK police has asked the government to provide the records of filed FIR against MQM founder and the video recording of his inflammatory speech.

On the other hand Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has written a letter to IG Sindh police ensuring the availability of witnesses. It is worth mentioning here that UK police came to Pakistan on the request of interior ministry.
