PTI to Launch Countrywide Protest after Eid
Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Thursday announced a series of public meetings after Eid al-Fitr, starting from Balochistan for the supremacy of the Constitution, law, and democracy.
Talking to the media in Rawalpindi, after a meeting with Imran Khan in Adiala Jail, senior PTI leader Asad Qaiser said the first rally would be held in the Pishin district of Balochistan as part of the protest movement.
He also revealed that a meeting of like-minded parties to review arrangements for the rally would be held at Balochistan National Party Chairman Akhtar Mengal’s house on April 12 in Quetta. The party’s senior leader maintained that the schedule for the country-wide movement would be announced shortly.
The main purpose of this movement, he explained, is to uphold the supremacy of the Constitution and law, without which the country cannot move forward.
Referring to the letters received by superior court judges, he wondered if there was a law in the country. “They have made the country a banana republic, and serious complaints are being received from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It is a conspiracy against the country that this province is being deprived of representation,” he said adding that Imran Khan has given the message to continue the struggle for the realization of his ideology… – The News
