Turkish president reaches Lahore
LAHORE: The President of Republic of Turkey, Abdullah Gul arrived here on a two-day visit.Turkish President is scheduled to meet PML-N chief Mian Nawaz Sharif, Chief Minister Punjab, Mian Shahbaz Sharif, Governor-Punjab Salman Taseer and members of business community.
The Government of Pakistan at federal level and in Punjab at provincial level has prepared an exclusive program for this visit.
During his stay in the provincial metropolis, Abdullah Gul would also visit Lahore Fort, Badshahi Mosque and other places of historical importance in the City.
A cultural show has also been arranged for the foreign guest at Lahore Fort on Thursday.
At least 8,000 police officers including 2,000 traffic officials including DSPs, SPs, inspectors and wardens have been deployed on all routes and main arteries of the provincial metropolis during Gul’s visit.
