HC directed to collect information about Shoaib case: FM
ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that Pakistan High Commissioner to India has been directed to collect information about the case registered against Shoaib Malik in India.“Shoaib Malik is our star and we are proud of him,” Qureshi told reporters outside the Parliament House.
To a question, the foreign minister said we pray for Malik on his marriage decision.
The former skipper was today questioned by Indian police for more than two hours in a case filed by Ayesha Siddiqi, who claims to the first wife of cricketers.
He is facing charges of fraud and cheating.
Malik is currently in Indian city of Hyderabad Deccan where he is due to wed Indian tennis star Sania Mirza on April 15.
